Tell us about your background:
I am a current graduate student at Parsons School of Design in New York, studying MPS in Fashion Management.

I am a strong arts and design professional with a B.A. focused in Fashion/Knitwear Design and 2.5 years of work experience in the design team of Tarun Tahiliani (TT). My experience at TT has really helped me gain a holistic understanding of the operations in an organization- right from fabric sourcing to finishing the garment with all its tiny details and finally sending it off to the store, whilst managing its campaign shoots for effective and timely marketing.

After my masters, I want to pivot myself in the fields of merchandising, buying and business development.

A few fun facts: I love to travel and explore new places (been to over 15 different countries). Love to eat out at new restaurants and later try to recreate the recipes at home. I’m a very honest person and I think an act of kindness goes a long way!

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

Don't open up a clothing brand if it doesn't solve a purpose - there is already so much waste out there!

Best career advice you've ever received?

If you are dedicated and work hard, success will come to you!

What leadership qualities are important to you?

A leader will help their team grow and will value others' opinions. Someone who understands that there is always scope for error, and makes the work environment fun to keep their team motivated.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?

Navigating company politics!

And for fun, what is your favorite wardrobe staple?

I love my denim jacket! I can pair it in a thousand different ways and never get bored of it!
