Tell us about your background:

Growing up in Brazil I’ve always wished I could have a career that would allow me to travel the world, meet diverse people, their culture and learn new languages.

My story as a Global Marketer started 15 years ago going through international marketing functions across different categories, including Brand Development roles in Brazil & Mexico and Global roles in the USA for CPG and Luxury companies. I became experienced in building powerful consumer engagement plans with compelling brand stories to drive growth.

I’ve been living in New York for ten years now, I am a mother of twins Benjamin and Serena, shifted from CPG to the Fashion Industry, and got to travel all over the world as I wished for.

Super happy to become a co-lab member and share a little bit of my background with this community.

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

Only work for companies your values align with. Work is important but your mental health is priceless.

Best career advice you've ever received?

Find the time to be strategic. Work with the right tools to manage the daily fire drills and dedicate time to the long term/new ideas.

What leadership qualities are important to you?

Empathy and Vision. Leaders should guide a company into the future while being empathetic with the people helping them to build it.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?

Working in 3 different countries, adapting to new cultures, and learning new languages.

And for fun, what is your favorite wardrobe staple?

I'd say a Blazer. It's timeless, chic and can be a cool piece depending on fit, color, fabric, and how you style it.
