Tell us about your background:
With 18 years of experience in retail management, project leadership, and relationship building, I’m passionate about delivering impactful results through data-driven strategies and inclusive practices. Born and raised in Seattle, I bootstrapped my way to earning an Apparel Design degree from Seattle Central, launching my career in fashion and retail. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats, from patternmaking to creating immersive brand experiences. My journey has allowed me to develop a unique blend of creative problem-solving and operational expertise, making me a true jack of all trades in the industry. I thrive on collaborating with teams to build meaningful connections and execute projects that leave a lasting impact. I’m now seeking my next opportunity to shape memorable Brand Experiences and continue driving innovation in the retail space.
What do you wish you’d known when you started out?
I wish I’d known how vital confidence is and how it influences every aspect of work and relationships. Confidence doesn’t just affect how you present yourself—it directly impacts the quality of your work, the strength of your connections, and the trust others place in you. It’s a foundation for growth, decision-making, and navigating challenges with clarity and purpose.
Best career advice you've ever received?
Be confident and stand behind your ideas.
What leadership qualities are important to you?
For me, the most important leadership qualities are accountability and structure. Accountability shows that you’re human and willing to own your mistakes, which builds trust and respect. Structure brings consistency and shows you care enough to create a solid foundation for everyone to succeed. Together, they make for a supportive and dependable leader.
What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?
I feel like I am currently in, currently laid off and a bit untethered to the next stage in my career. There is even more at stake than when I was younger, and of course, I have some big goals!
And for fun, what is your favorite wardrobe staple?
I have seven versions of the same item: a white tee, blazer, and denim. As a stylist for years, I know that once you find what makes you happy, you repeat it so you have one every day of the week. Fashion can be fun, but getting dressed every day shouldn't be stressful.
