Jenise Subveri

Tell us about your background:

I have been in contemporary/luxury retail space for over 15 years. Working for various start ups and heritage brands in visual merchandising, store management and customer experience. I love building and developing teams and relationships with clients.

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

To be more confident in advocating for myself vs thinking my work ethic would solely open doors for me.

Best career advice you've ever received?

Never stop learning.

What leadership qualities are important to you?

Empathy, active listening, respect, and strategic thinking.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?

Navigating motherhood and career. There is no blueprint; no right or wrong. It has forced me take breaks when needed for my family, and some sacrifices but ultimately well worth it.

And for fun, what is your favorite wardrobe staple?

A nice black blazer. Can be dressed up or down and never goes out of style.
