In Conversation with Erik Jorgensen

Tell us about your background:

I am originally from Colorado; I began my career in the fashion and outdoor industry after becoming a student athlete, D1 All American, and graduating with a sports marketing degree from Western State University of Colorado. I have worked with brands like O’Neill, Nike SB, CNPTS, Zappos and worked with Canada Goose for a decade during their rapid growth period. I now run a sales strategy and brand consulting agency with a focus on introducing new brands to US and Middle East markets.

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

Success in the industry is not a straight path, it will take a lot of twists and turns. Be open to it and embrace the wild ride.

Best career advice you've ever received?

Hard work works, working really hard is what successful people do.

What leadership qualities are important to you?

Honesty, support, humility

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?

Figuring out how to best use my unique background and skill sets to blaze a new career path.
