Tell us about your background:

I was a magazine editor for nearly 3 decades; most recently as Editor in Chief of SHAPE from 2014 to 2021. Since then, I've been consulting with various companies, including Videoshops, a new social commerce platform. I also co-founded a B2B app that allows fitness professionals to fine-tune their own AI.

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

The "adults" don't always know what they're doing.

Best career advice you've ever received?

Respond don't react.

What leadership qualities are important to you?

Kindness, clarity, honesty, and calm. And taking responsibility.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?

Pivoting from magazine publishing!

And for fun, what is your favorite wardrobe staple?

Good black pants and my green suede Rag & Bone moto jacket.
