In Conversation with Jessica Freschl

Tell us about your background: 
Jessie Freschl hails from a long lineage of fashionable female entrepreneurs. In late 2011, Jessie began her styling business in NYC, Freschstyle. Prior to personal styling Jessie, alongside her mother and mentor, ran the operations of her family’s high-end women’s boutique in Milwaukee, WI. Her grandmother founded the business in 1959 and instilled the value of giving back to her community. Jessie lives on the UWS with her husband, their three daughters, and Rocky, their bernadoodle. Jessie balances her busy schedule with the practice of yoga and mindfulness and finding solace in nature.

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

It is more important to truly listen in any conversation than to think about how you are going to respond.

Best career advice you've ever received?

There are many great ideas but every idea is not an opportunity.

What leadership qualities are important to you?

Honesty, integrity, and collaboration.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far? 

Pivoting from providing services for profit to fundraising for a nonprofit.

And for fun, what is your favorite wardrobe staple?

Great jackets.
