Tell us about your background:

Founder of Goldie Tees (goldietees.com), a sustainable fashion brand offering elevated, not-so-basic basics. Since launching in 2016, I’ve led the creative vision, focusing on high-quality pieces sold in boutiques and expanding our direct-to-consumer business. With a strong background in fashion retail, I specialize in designing and producing custom garments and original textile designs—knit, woven, printed, and embellished. Passionate about style, detail, and craftsmanship, I’m driven by a love for creating beautiful, wearable pieces that combine everyday luxury with responsible production.

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

Be present while looking forward. Be open to opportunities even when you are not looking for them.

Best career advice you've ever received?

Keep moving forward.

What leadership qualities are important to you?

Clarity of vision.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?

Riding the wave from being the new exciting brand to continuing to reinvent Goldie to remain relevant.

How do you define success in your career, and how has that definition evolved over time?

Success is seeing my brand name or something I created out in the world. Previously, it was who I knew and where I was in the world. Now it is about self-satisfaction and financial security. Quality of lifestyle and my environment is paramount at this point in time for me.

How has networking contributed to your professional growth and success?

I have learned that you need people around you to encourage, to connect you to others, show you paths and lead the way.
