Join us as we hear from David Boag, an intellectual property attorney who focuses on a wide-range of patent, trademark, and copyright issues
Trademarks are one of the very first assets of a nascent company and are synonymous with your brand identity and reputation. They help customers identify your goods and services, solidify your brand, and distinguish you from the pack. In this panel we will cover:
What a trademark is and why it’s important to your business.
How to select strong trademarks that enhance brand recognition and avoid conflict with the rights of others.
How to federally register your trademark and why that’s important.
How to conduct trademark clearance to avoid infringement claims.
The U.S. trademark registration process (and international rights).
Infringement and what to do if you receive a cease and desist letter (and vice-versa).
