Chanel Tyler is the Lead for the Beauty and Communities Verticals on YouTube’s Large Partner team focused on partnerships and strategies that directly impact endemic Beauty Creators and Diverse Creators. Chanel joined YouTube in 2020 from the Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) where she was the Director of Local & Cultural Relevancy for the North America region. Her role involved leading and driving relevancy across the ELC portfolio (30+ prestige beauty brands) with multicultural consumers + audiences focused on haircare, skincare, makeup and fragrance beauty categories. She is a graduate of Spelman College and Columbia Business School and spent her pre-MBA career in Investment Banking and Financial Services.
Chanel is incredibly passionate about Beauty and Inclusivity and feels it is extremely important to advocate for representation, diversity, equity and opportunity. In her spare time, she loves to try out new cooking recipes, HIIT workouts, and beauty products. She calls herself a “skinthusiast” as she is completely obsessed with skincare, from formulation to application techniques. She recently launched a wellness lifestyle newsletter called The Glow Update and occasionally contributes to different media outlets on topics of beauty and wellness, which is a fun way for her to express her creative side.
