Please join us as co-lab member Janet Gilbert interviews Jennifer Stucko, Founder and CEO of Prota Fiori.
Founder Jennifer Stucko is on a simple and heartfelt mission – to protect our Mother Earth while preserving Italian craftsmanship with innovation and authenticity.
After working over a decade in fashion, she couldn’t ignore the impact the industry has on the environment. Leveraging her industry background and luxury footwear expertise, Stucko wanted to marry her values and passion for protecting both our planet and Italian luxury shoemaking.
In 2019, Jennifer founded PROTA (to protect) FIORI (the flowers). With Mother Earth on her side, she found a creative way to make a sustainable shoe without sacrificing Italian design, quality and technical excellence. PROTA FIORI is the first of its kind - handmade shoes made from upcycled grape and apple skins and other premium circular materials. With her Italian roots at its core, PROTA FIORI is 100% sourced and made in Italy and hand crafted by second-generation luxury shoemakers.
From day 1, PROTA FIORI has been an ESG-minded business and is an established Public Benefit Corporation and Pending Certified B Corp. As a PBC, the company is committed to making a positive effect on the environment, implementing sustainable business practices and promoting women in business. PROTA FIORI has a social impact garden located in Italy and fulfills 13 of the 17 SDGs.
One shoe at a time, Jennifer Stucko is a pioneer in fashion and sustainability, sharing her story and encouraging conscious consumerism with a growing community of mission driven luxury clients.
