the co-lab panel: Building a New American Legacy

co-lab member & sustainability expert Alexa Steiner interviews Eleanor Turner, founder of the sustainable brand The Big Favorite.

For over a decade, Eleanor Turner has designed for iconic American brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, and J.Crew. In 2015, she co-founded Argent, an apparel company aimed at empowering working women through stylish and functional clothing. During her tenure at Argent, Turner innovated workwear with four patents pending, dressed trailblazing women like Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Emily Weiss, and Awkwafina. She is bringing her years of experience and passion for creative problem-solving to her latest project, The Big Favorite. She is reimagining the brand, once led by her great-grandfather in the 1930s, with a new mission to tackle textile waste through a line of circular first layer garments that launched in November 2020. The Big Favorite has been featured in Vogue, Fast Company, Marie Claire, and The World Economic Forum.
