Café co-lab: Social Media Workshop with Margaret Lin

Join us on October 16th for a workshop with colab member and social media editor, Margaret Lin.

About Margaret Lin

I'm a social media editor working on original content production and organic social who has grown 3M+ followers for major brands in NYC over the past eight years! I'm available for full-time contract or salaried work! By night, I'm a video game dev working on Trinkets!, available out on Steam in spring 2025.

I was most recently an associate director for Vanity Fair, working under Condé Nast Entertainment. I lead social video development and production for the magazine and worked with A-list actors and musicians, as well as behind-the-scenes costume designers and other personnel. As a K-pop fanatic, I also helped to produce and lead research for K-pop videos for the brand. I've grown the brand's TikTok audience to 1M followers in a year.

Previously, I was a social media editor at The Wall Street Journal where I grew the Instagram account from 1.5M to 3.7M followers. I produced videos with reporters, athletes, CEOs, musicians, and other celebrities. I also featured on WSJ's Women In newsletter.

I also founded The Avocado Dream, an Instagram magazine which calculates home prices in terms of avocado toasts for Curbed, a Vox Media (now New York Magazine) brand. I've been interviewed by Digiday and Nieman Lab as an expert in Instagram strategy.
