Café co-lab: Finding Creativity in Circularity with Dani Des Roches

Join us for a transformative workshop led by co-lab member and founder of Picnicwear, Dani Des Roches on how to challenge the destructive nature of the linear fashion model and inspire a shift towards a more sustainable and circular fashion industry. Through both mindset shift and viable creative design approaches, you/your team will walk away from this interactive workshop with a tool belt of techniques that can be implemented into the apparel design process today!

Dani Des Roches is a circular apparel designer and founder of Picnicwear, an apparel and accessories brand made in the USA from vintage and deadstock materials. Dani specializes in knitwear, having spent a decade designing sweaters for large retailers like Urban Outfitters and Express. Her most recent role is as the Director of Sourcing Partnerships at Nest, a non-profit that advocates and supports artisans and makers in the global handcraft sector. In her position, she fosters the organization’s relationships with brands, designers, and retailers who are looking to source products from artisan and maker communities in the US and around the world. Dani's work from her brand Picnicwear has been featured in Nylon, Elle, Cosmopolitan, WGSN, Frankie Magazine, and on display at Cornell University.

Café Co-Lab's are small, bi-weekly networking groups focused on specific topics. They are an opportunity for co-lab members to connect, share resources, and engage with other members.
