Emotional Well-being: Teasing apart the job search with Lizzie Hammel, Ph.D.

This café session, led by Dr. Hammel, offers an insightful exploration of the critical role emotions play in the job hunting process.

Café Co-Lab's are small networking groups focused on specific topics. They are an opportunity for co-lab members to connect, share resources, and engage with other members.

Elizabeth Felleman Hammel, Ph.D., is a licensed New York State psychologist and therapist. Her private practice focuses on working with couples, families and individual adults. Dr. Hammel has extensive experience in working with couples and supporting family systems and relationships in stress or conflict.

Dr. Hammel earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. She has intensive clinical training and supervision in family and couples therapy from The Ackerman Institute for the Family, one of the premiere institutes in the field, as well as clinical training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy from The Beck Institute. Dr. Hammel is an adjunct professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education at Brooklyn College. She has collaborated on a number of published research studies investigating the therapeutic alliance between therapists and clients, as well as the efficacy of different modes of manualized therapy. She has presented at national conferences on the topics of parental stressors, relationship conflicts, and attachment.

Dr. Hammel is a member of The American Psychological Association, and The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She lives in Brooklyn with her family.
